Welcome to the Homepage of the Parish Church of St Crispin, Manchester. Officially we are said to be in Withington, but actually we are situated in Fallowfield, near the Universities and not far from the former home of Manchester City FC in Maine Road.
We are a Church of England parish in the Diocese of Manchester, and under the care of the Provincial Episcopal Visitor, the Bishop of Beverley. We stand in the Catholic tradition and teach and practise the fullness of faith.
We began as a mission church in the early 1910's with a 'tin church' on Parkside Road. Our present church was dedicated in 1928, and in 2003 we celebrated our 75th Anniversary, designated the Jubilee Year. On 4th May we kept a Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving, and our past and present members and friends were there to share the great occasion.
As we give thanks for the 75 and more years of mission and witness in this part of Manchester, we look to the future with renewed confidence, knowing that God will continue to bless and guide us as a sign of Christ's living presence.
We very much hope that you pay us a visit next time you are in the area. And please remember us in your prayers.
