Baptism marks the start of a journey of faith, which involves turning away from all that is evil, turning towards Christ and becoming a member of the local and worldwide Christian family. It is the rite of admission into the Christian Church. If you wish to discuss details for a baptism at St. Crispin’s, you are more than welcome to e-mail us or speak to the priest on Sundays after the Mass.
Whether you have celebrated the joy of the birth of a new child or if you are thinking about being baptised yourself, we feel it is very important to help you understand and face up to the responsibilities involved with your own baptism or that of your child. New parents, for example, by the time of the birth have thought long and hard about their own responsibilities towards the child’s future. We are sure that you feel it is right to approach your child’s baptism (or your own) in exactly the same way.
We ask you to pray about this decision and come to church and join us. You are always welcome!
